How can baking cookies ever be quick? You usually must acquire a scale, then carefully measure all the components, caress the dough to ages, cut out small cookies into heart, star and moon shapes and then wait another century'til they are baked.

NEVER EVER could I bake cookies under these circumstances. That is just not how I roll. But I encounter those Banana Oatmeal Fitness Cookies (that's what I call them, anyhow.)

Though in the event you want to make them even tastier and/or healthier you can pimp them up with a few add ons like raisins, walnuts or cinnamon. That is up to you!

It seems more and more like a sales pitch (it's not -- nobody's gont cover me should you consume them), but I have to say one more amazing thing about these cookies.

They're tasty! Yep, once I'd had the first I finished the rest inside one hour.

They are ideal for hiking trips or other occasions where you will need a quick pleasant bite on the move. Now I keep them as a fast bite in my back pack.

It must also be mentioned they're vegan. No eggs, no milk, none of the standard cookie supposes. Just oats and peanuts.

Take oats for example. Not only do they reduce your cholesterol levels which then will help you stop developing heart disease or diabetes, but they also energize you with good carbs and nutrients to help keep you going for longer during the day.

These nutrients comprise manganese, good for bone production and skin ethics in addition to magnesium -- essential for energy generation to allow you to feel fuller

Same with bananas -- the favourite fruit among athletes -- not just cause they have a decent quantity of good carbohydrates but also for being the huge players in the potassium game.

Potassium is a really important nutrient for preventing fatigue and muscle cramps. Pretty good if you've got a challenging day ahead of you.

Because you can see, I'm a big fan.

What is your favourite on the move food?

Have you ever been stuck somewhere in character and thought"damn I'm in trouble!" ? If so, go now where? Just blend bananas and oats and then bake them for 15 minutes. Ideal for when you will need a power boost on the move. Enjoy!

2 ripe bananas

1 cup rolled oats (oatmeal or porridge oats work very nicely )

Optional: Vegan Molasses Cookies » I LOVE VEGAN

two tsp cinnamon

1 little handful raisins

1 little number walnuts, crumbled

1 little handful sesame seeds, toasted

You may add pretty much whatever you like!


Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F)

Obtain a bowl and mash the bananas until they're mushy

Add the cup of yogurt and any of the optional ingredients

Stir until everything is well mixed

Place baking paper on the tray so the cookies don't adhere. If you do not have that make sure to wash the baking tray with butter (or olive oil if you're vegetarian )

To produce the cookie contour simply grab a spoon and garnish a decent amount from the mix onto the baking dish like I did at the photograph above. It is super fast and simple.

Off it goes into the oven for approximately 15 - 20 minutes.


Recipe Notes

EQUIPMENT: You just require a strong baking tray and some parchment paper, cool also.
